no, I’m sorry. I don’t see any reason to go without food for even a day, even if you’re hungry 2 hours after your last meal. going 3 days without food isn’t going to give you strength, it’s going to make you weak. your body will be crying for food & you’ll more than likely binge as a result. just feed yourself healthy, wholesome & natural things. respect your body, don’t punish it. weight loss will come.
Thank you. Oh my God. I get so angry when people in my class think not eating anything for a day or two is actually good for them. (Nothing personal to the girl asking the question)
There’s this woman in my class who has two kids. She’s a little overweight, nothing serious though. She wants to lose weight. Okay, there’s also a woman who I really like, she’s AWESOME, but she can be a little crazy sometimes. So the overweight woman who wants to lose weight once said “I’m so hungry and I can’t eat until tomorrow :(” so I was like, WHY? and she explained that she’s going without food for the day so she can start over the day after. I was like “Whoa that’s not healthy. It’s not really gonna help you either, you’re just upsetting your body” and the awesome but sometimes crazy woman said, “That’s not true. A day or two without food are fine. And apart from that, everyone’s different” and I’m like, yeah, obviously everyone’s different, but seriously? Your body NEEDS the nutrients. Even a day without food can and will do harm to your body because your body doesn’t forget!
Sometimes I just wish I could make some people understand the importance of nutrition and food in general but I feel like some people don’t take me serious on it cause I’m young (19) and they might think I don’t know shit about it but truth is, I know more about nutrition than anyone else in my class or family. Yet no one takes my advice until they see me prove them wrong.
