How many times have you done it? It took me a while too! After doing it for the first time, I was SO frustrated and ready to quit because I couldn’t follow either. But after that it got really easy. I’d say it took me 2-3 workouts to get the moves and be able to keep up! Just don’t get discouraged because everyone probably felt like this at first. Please don’t stop because trust me, TurboFire is the best thing ever! It is SO much fun and the long workouts don’t even feel that long cause it’s just so fun. You’ll absolutely love it, I PROMISE.
Now I even know the moves before she says / does them cause I memorize all the workouts. It’s crazy!!
I eat between 5 to 6 times a day, anywhere from 1200 to 1600 calories or a little more, depending on how hungry or busy I am. People will say it’s not enough but it’s what feels right to me! I eat as clean as possible, no cheating. I’m 90% vegan / 10% vegetarian too!
Me too but I don’t think you could call our bubble tea “real”. I emailed the company a few days ago and asked them what they use to add flavor to their tea and what they fill their fruit bubbles with and they said it’s all fruit syrup which contains sugar and crap.
I’m not gonna tell myself I can never have bubble tea again cause that’s ridiculous but I’m not having more than one each week, trying to limit it to one every other week.
I was a little disappointed when she told me what’s in it cause I was hoping I had found a new healthy food/drink to add to my diet but I was wrong :(
Me too! Absolutely in love with it. I hate that I found out about it so late! It’s going great, I took a week off cause I was busy with my sister’s wedding and stuff but I’m gonna start over with week 5 tomorrow :) x
Nothing’s wrong with you, you’re just struggling with lack of motivation/willpower and that’s completely human.
Don’t give up! You just have to change your mindset. Don’t think of healthy eating and exercise as something you HAVE to do or else you will fail.
Think of it as something that helps you get closer to your goal every single day. Think of it as your secret weapon and as your biggest tool towards becoming healthier / losing weight!
Make smart choices whenever you can and if you eat something you shouldn’t, don’t throw in the towel and eat crappy for the rest of the day. Start making smart choices again with your next meal!
I don’t know exactly what you eat, therefore I can’t really give you custom advice but I can tell you what works for me. I personally don’t tell myself I can’t eat chocolate or other “bad food”, but I also don’t eat it. It’s like, if I restricted myself from it completely and if I told myself I can never eat those things, I would want them so much more. Instead, I think about how they affect my body and I ask myself if I really need this specific food. Obviously, the answer is no! That is how you can keep yourself from eating those bad things without really restricting yourself (I guess).
Because often it starts with one small piece of chocolate or candy or whatever, and then you’re like, “Oh well, I might as well start over tomorrow”, which screws the whole day. So that might be a help when it comes to preventing this from happening.
I also like to remind myself of how happy I feel after a long period of no slip-ups and no bad food / no skipping workouts. It’s when I’m the happiest and most comfortable with myself so that feeling can be a big motivation too!
I hope this helped a bit. You can do this! x
It’s not necessarily bad to have wholegrain pasta this many times a week but I’d say make sure you at least eat it with different vegetables and a different sauce every time, so you don’t eat the exact same thing every day. Why don’t you try brown rice or quinoa for a change? It takes about as much time and tastes just as good!
In the end it is a question of calories in vs calories out, but you really shouldn’t be eating the same thing every day. Switch it up a little to keep your body happy! :)
No, don’t go under your BMR. You should always eat above it. You will NOT gain weight, I promise. You should eat your BMR + what you burned off + then some. Add a little deficit for weight loss and you will lose!
I am living proof that upping your calorie intake up to your BMR + burned calories from exercise will NOT make you gain weight :)
It depends on how much you weigh now and how tall you are but it’s definitely possible to lose 30 lbs within 5 months. Again, I can’t say if 1,600 calories are enough or too much without knowing your weight and height. Calculate your BMR and you’ll know! Good luck!
Kind of. I’m in a course and I have class 30 hours a week. Well eating healthy doesn’t really take much time… not much more than unhealthy eating would! Yes, the preparing can take some time especially if you calculate all your calories but if you’re smart about preparing your food for several a days, it saves a lot of time!
Working out really isn’t that time-consuming either. You don’t have to work out for 2 to 3 hours every day. In fact, you don’t have to work out daily at all. Just be clever about it. Make time for it. If you wanna do it, you’ll find a way. There’s absolutely NO excuses.
Do you ever find yourself watching TV or sitting in front of your laptop for half an hour or even an hour? You could have spent that time out running or doing something else.
It can be stressful at times but if you want it, you’ll find a way. Good luck!
Maybe you’re not eating enough! This very lovely girl recently helped me and recommended fat2fitradio.com to me which I have found VERY helpful! Check it out, they have GREAT tips on how to overcome a plateau.
I don’t know what the reason for my plateau was yet because I only started eating a little more recently and I haven’t weighed myself since so we’ll see.
Number one tip: STAY ON IT. Eat enough, exercise, make smart choices when it comes to food and don’t give up! You’re already doing a great job probably :)
Hey! First off, congrats on your lifestyle choice!
I don’t do yoga but I’m pretty sure that if you keep practicing it, your form will improve if you pay attention to it!
I think perfect form comes with strength and determination so if you keep pushing yourself, you will get there!
Hey! I ALWAYS weigh myself on an empty stomach (no food, no liquids, NOTHING) but after going to the bathroom.
There is no better time to weigh yourself than first thing in the morning because once you’ve had something to eat or had a glass of water, the number goes up. It’s the only way to get accurate numbers.
But keep in mind that even though you might not have had anything to eat or drink that day, there can still be undigested food from the day before in your body which can make you heavier.
Thank you :)
Sometimes I do. To be honest, I don’t have them very often and when I do, they’re very small and only last a few seconds because my brain has completely switched to health mode! After three months of literally no slip-ups, my brain doesn’t even make me believe I want or need crappy foods anymore.
In my opinion, you have to stick to a healthy diet without compromises for a while for it to stick with you. I know, people say that a few pieces of chocolate a week won’t hurt but I used to say that too until I started over in November. I completely changed my mindset and started thinking about what my body needs and not what my brain makes me crave that moment!
I never had any sweets or unhealthy foods and now I don’t need them anymore. I don’t want them anymore. It’s a habit. Just like it’s a habit to eat unhealthy food, it can be a habit to eat healthy 100% of the time. Or 99% because it is okay to indulge on special occasions as long as it’s not every weekend.
Keep in mind, that is only my opinion. It’s what worked for me and I can honestly say that cravings don’t really happen much for me anymore and that’s what I did to make that happen!
That’s all I can give you on that topic, sorry! I hop it helped at least a bit x
No I have no idea honestly! I only calculate my intake. I don’t wanna calculate everything because I don’t wanna go crazy over it! So I don’t know how many net calories I consume.
I’d say don’t worry about the numbers so much, just create a nice little deficit (stay around those 1500 though) and you’ll be good to go!
1.5 lbs per week is a big goal, don’t expect too much from your body. I’d say shoot for 1 lb a week :) And if you lose more, you’ll be even more stoked about it!
Eat healthy, eat the right amounts, exercise, and you’ll lose weight! :)
I try to have my carbs in the morning and for lunch but not for weight loss reasons. I do it cause my body doesn’t need as much energy in the evening as it does in the morning! Carbs = energy.
I eat when I’m hungry! I eat about every 2-3 hours (I feel like I’m constantly eating or planning a meal!)
I usually eat about 30-40g of granola per portion. Rice varies cause it depends on if the whole dish is rice (like rice with veggies) or if it’s just a side.
I don’t really care much for portion sizes, I just like to keep my meals around or under 400 calories so I can have more meals throughout the day! Hope this helps a little :)
